Please note that the program fee is subject to change. The billable items above will be put on your UMass bursar's bill.

 

Program Fee Includes:
-Tuition for 12-15 credits
-Internship up to 20 hours per week
-Housing in choice of an apartment with shared bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, television, wireless Internet connection and weekly cleaning service (utilities and linens are included) or single homestay with shared bathroom, half-board (breakfast and dinner), laundry once per week, utilities and linens included
-Orientation and 1/2 day panoramic coach tour of London
-Full day excursion to Stonehenge and Bath including transportation and entrance fees
-Local transportation pass for use on the London Underground, mainline trains and buses within zones 1-2 (and 3 if housed in zone 3)
-Medical, travel and accident insurance*
-My Education cultural programs
-CAPA services and support in the U.S. and abroad

The non-billable items above are used to help plan and prepare for the program, as well as calculate eligibility for financial aid. Not all students will incur all the expenses listed. All amounts listed are estimates and subject to change depending upon currency fluctuation, reports from past participants and feedback from CAPA’s on-site staff.

Health Insurance: Students receive a certain amount of accidental medical, emergency medical transportation, repatriation of remains, etc. for the duration of the study abroad program through both CAPA  and the UMass Travel Insurance Policy. Students arriving earlier or staying later than the program dates, should consider purchasing an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) at www.myisic.com Students are strongly advised to maintain US coverage (usually through a parent policy) and should know procedures to report health care costs to the insurance provider.  Students not covered by parent policy should obtain coverage as suggested in the "Guidelines for Education Abroad."
