Shanghai
CIEE Accelerated Chinese Language Program in Shanghai, China 
Whether you’re a first- or fifth-year student of Mandarin, advance your language skills in the rapidly developing city, Shanghai! On CIEE’s Accelerated Chinese Language program, you’ll take intensive coursework and one-on-one classes that address your individual needs. Add in structured peer tutorials and language clinics, rewarding volunteer opportunities, and fun cultural activities – don’t forget to explore and taste things like Shanghai’s great culinary joy,xiaolong bao, or soup dumplings – for an exciting and truly immersive international experience.

Study abroad in Shanghai and you will:

  • Enjoy weekend and weeklong excursions “off the tourist track,” and practice Chinese in authentic situations
