Program Description:

The United States-Indonesia Society is again sponsoring a 10-week summer intensive language & culture program in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.  The cost is $2,000 which includes air travel, visa, tuition, housing and board and health insurance.

Academic Program:

The language program is run by the Indonesian Language and Culture Learning Service (INCULS) at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta.

Students will be in class Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 11:00 a.m., studying Bahasa Indonesian.  In addition, there will be cultural lectures, activities and field trips.

Housing:

Upon arrival students will initially be housed in a hotel for two nights, then will meet their host families and move in. 

Eligibility:

*U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

*College senior, OR recent college graduate (within 6 months), OR enrolled in a post-graduate program, or recent graduate of such a program (within 6 months)

Application includes a one-page personal statement, resume, transcript and sealed letter of recommendation.
