Six week intensive Japanese Language Program at Sophia University in the heart of Tokyo. Dates are 06/10/2013 - 07/19/2013.
Intensive Japanese classes from Beginning to Intermediate meet for 3 hours/day and move at a rapid pace. The six-week program includes 90 hours of instruction and the credit award is 4 credits. Students can also opt to take a lecture series on Japanese Society for 1 credit. This is a series of 8 lectures, each given by a different faculty member in their area of specialty such as Japan's Constitution in the Context of Postwar Politics, Japanese Energy Policies, etc. Please consult www.sophia.ac.jp/eng/admissions/summer for a listing.

The list contains links to the websites and an estimate of the commuting time between housing and the Sophia University campus. Students MUST make their own housing arrangements via the internet.

Payment of tuition is only accepted by credit card. Applications close on March 29, 2013. Applications will be processed in the order of their arrival (after the documents submitted by postal mail and the online application process have been received by Sophia University). Participants will be selected in an ongoing evaluation process; maximum number of participants is 45.
