Founded in 1607, Justus Liebig University Giessen
is one of Germany’s top research universities both rich in tradition and highly innovative. Most exchange students at Justus Liebig University live in one of the student halls of residence. The dorms are run by the Studentenwerk. If you spend one semester studying in Giessen, you can expect your monthly rent to be around €250.
When planning your arrival, please note that you can only move into the halls of residence run by Student Services in the daytime from Monday to Friday. You can collect your room key from the Halls of Residence Department at Student Services.
